Health and Welfare Programs - As part of our selection of optional benefits, BH Media Group offers medical, dental and vision benefits. Our medical benefits provide full coverage of in-network preventive care, to encourage and support optimal health. Employees can choose to contribute to flexible spending accounts for certain healthcare and dependent care expenses. Employees can also enroll in a health savings account, which is funded by an annual contribution from Media General and money that the participant contributes to the account.
Insurance Programs - BH Media Group's comprehensive insurance benefits include employee and dependent group term life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short- and long-term disability income protection, and long term care insurance.
401(k) Plan - The 401(k) Plan offers the flexibility of pre-tax contributions and after-tax Roth 401(k) contributions. The plan is administered by Fidelity Investments, with 24-hour online access to account information and a variety of financial planning tools at www.401k.com. Participants can choose from a variety of investment funds. Employees become eligible to enroll in the 401(k) on the first day of the month after 45 days of employment. Once enrolled, 401(k) participants are immediately vested for the company match.
Employee Assistance Program - BH Media Group offers all employees and their families access to free, confidential counseling services to help address personal problems that affect your health, family life or job performance. This benefit includes six free counseling sessions and the option to continue counseling within CIGNA's network of participating providers.
Legal and Financial Planning Services - This optional benefit is available at an additional cost and provides information, advice and representation in certain legal matters, as well as financial planning services.
